Like every other warm-blooded millennial black woman, I too absolutely love Beyonce. Today wasn’t just a day where millions of kids went back to school, it also is Beyonce’s 36th birthday. She (and a lot of other women) taught me that there’s no one definition of being a woman. Over the years, I’ve had many different people in my life trying to convince me what a woman was and what I should strive to be. But the real tea is, none of their opinions mattered. I always had the power to define what I thought a woman was for myself.
I’m getting a little too deep on a Beyonce-appreciation post.
ANYWAY, here’s one of my favorite songs from Beyonce’s entire discography. Have an incredible #BeyDay.
